Hippo Crates is a ready to eat meal plan subscription service that provides personalised, healthy meal options based on your health goals and dietary needs.

To get started, simply add the meals you would like, when you select 'Lunch' for example, that is each day. You will select which days in the next step.

The meals are measured by calories so you can keep a running tally of how much you will be eating each day. You can choose from Regular meals at 600 calories, small at 300 calories, XL at 900 calories or Family sized at 2400 calories.

Standard meals consist of an even macro split, with an average protein count of 40g for a 600 calorie meal. (20g protein for 300 calories, 60g protein for 900 calories etc).

Low Carb meals have the starchy carbs subbed out for more veggies and dietary fat. They would be 'Keto'. We don't use the term Keto as it is so easy to eat something out of our control and not be in Ketosis.

Just as importantly, they are designed to save you time and effort, with all the benefits of delicious home cooked meals, because that's exactly what they are. Without the shopping, cooking or washing up!

We offer a variety of meal options to accommodate different dietary needs. Our meals have no added gluten by default, dairy is optional. If you have specific allergies or restrictions, please contact us before placing your order to discuss your options. We may or may not be able to cater to certain allergies as our kitchen is small and we take cross contamination very seriously. For certain dislikes, again please contact us beforehand as we may or may not be able to cater to it. We're here to help so please get in touch and we'll see what we can do for you!

You have full control over your subscription so you may cancel/hold your subscription at any time, we do not lock you in for more than the week you have subscribed to, but your subscription will roll over automatically. To cancel/hold your subscription, Login to your account and go to 'Subscriptions'. From there you have the ability to Edit, Pause or Cancel your subscription. We are located in the outside area of Industrial Fitness gym at 17 Repco Boulevard. We're available to answer any questions or concerns you may have by email from 9am-5pm Monday - Friday and on site usually from 9am-5pm Saturday - Wednesday.

Yes, we do. Check the Vegetarian box when selecting meals and we will replace the meat with eggs, beans, cheese, falafel or tofu. Due to the nature of Vegetarian protein being higher in carbs, we can not offer a low carb option. Also, we believe all non-meat protein sources must be utilised in a Vegetarian diet, hence we can not offer Dairy Free or Vegan options.

At this stage we do not include seafood in our meal plans. Sourcing good quality seafood at an affordable price is difficult in the Queenstown area and we are not willing to compromise on quality. But we're no opposed to looking in to it, let us know if it's something you would be willing to pay a premium for and we'll look into it in the future.

Of course, you can join us for as little or as long as you like. Just subscribe like normal and you are welcome to Edit, Pause or Cancel the next week if you wish. We are so confident in our product that we will never hold anybody down if they do not like what we do.

Protein:
Each lunch and dinner contains either 150g chicken (raw weight) or 135g red meat (raw weight). This translates to at least 100g+ of cooked meat. This is averaging around 35g of protein from meat per lunch/dinner. Other ingredients from the dish we can estimate around 5g of protein per dish, so we say that each lunch / dinner will contain an average of 40g of protein.

We deliver meals on a recurring basis, depending on your chosen meal plan. Meals for Monday / Tuesday will be delivered on Sunday from 6PM. Meals for Wednesday / Thursday will be delivered on Tuesday after 6PM. Meals for Friday will be delivered on Wednesday after 6PM.

We currently deliver to Arthurs Point, Arrowtown, Lake Hayes Estate, Shotover Country, Frankton, Hanley's Farm, Jacks Point, Kelvin Heights, Queenstown and Fernhill. Unfortunately we do not deliver to rural or work addresses at this stage. If you're unsure if we deliver to your area, please contact us before placing your order.

If you're not home when the meals are delivered, we will leave your meals in the spot with the most shade. If you know that you will not be home, we ask that you leave out a chilly bin with an ice pack for us. Please ensure that you have a safe, secure location for delivery and that if your address is not obvious, please leave us clear instructions when you checkout.
